to Pompei by bus. Guided visit to to Pompei. Guided
tour to the archaeological excavations.

to Caserta. Guided tour to the famous palace by
Vanvitelli and to its lush gardens.
» Move to the
Naples naval station in the evening. Boarding on
a Tirrenia ferry-boat.
» Lodging into
the booked cabins. Leave for Palermo.
» Dinner on board.

- Fourth day: Palermo/Monreale/Palermo
» Arrive in Palermo
in the morning, magnificent regional capital to
the board of the golden valley.
» Breakfast. Guided
tour the historical-monumental centre in the morning.
» Move to the
hotel by bus. Lodging in the booked rooms.
» Lunch in Hotel.
» Afternoon tour
by bus in Monreale. Guided tour to the superb Cathedral,
masterpiece of the Arab Norman art and to the famous
Benedictine cloister. On the way back, visit to
the two original building of that period: the Cuba,
hunting pavilion and its park, and the Zisa, ancient
palace of pleasures of the Norman kings.

tour to the Saint Rosalia’s Sanctuary, pathron
of Palermo, over the panoramic Mount Pellegrino.

- 5° giorno: Palermo/Agrigento/Porto

morning to Agrigento, the ancient Akragas founded
by the Rhodian- Cretan colonists.
» Guided tour
to the monumental Temples valley. One of the most
important archaeological zone to Magna Graecia (Demetra’s
Temple, Persefonis Sanctuary, Greek fortifications,
Hellenic-Roman quarter, majestic housing development
inhabited for more than seven centuries, Falarides
Oratory, Olimpic Jove’s Temple, one of biggest
building of the Greek architecture, Dioscuri’s
Temple, symbol of the town, Teron’s temple,
Esculapio’s temple, Heracles’temple-first
Agrigento’s temple, Antiquarium, Concordia’s
temple – one of the most perfect works, comparable
in its solemnity only to the Parthenon in Athens

» If the weather,
is good, short visit in the afternoon to the modern
town, rich of monuments (Piazzale Roma, Via Atenea,
Badia Grande di Santo Spirito XIII century Abbey,
Chiesa del Purgatorio, Municipio, Via Matteotti,
Chiesa di Santa Maria dei Greci, Gothic cathedral).
» Leaving Agrigento,
the biggest town of the mortals, as Pindaros called
it, you past through the Pirandello’s native
house, in contrada caos.
» Arrive in the
evening at Porto Empedocle, lovely tourist place
near Agrigento.
» Lodging in the

Sicily and world famous tourist centre. Guided tour

- Eighth day: Taormina/Siracusa/Megara Hyblaea/Taormina

by bus to Siracusa, splendid Greek town founded
by Corinthian refugees.

to the archaeological park of Neapolis and its historical

» Lunch in restaurant.
» Afternoon hike
suggested to Megara Hyblaea, important colony of
megarese origin.
» Dinner in hotel.

- Ninth day: Taormina/Messina/Reggio Calabria/Sede

by bus in highway. Arrive in Messina.
» Crossing the
Messina’s Strait. Landing in Villa San Giovanni.

to Reggio Calabria, ancient calcidese settlement.
» Possible guided
visit to the national Archaeological Museum wit
the famous Bronzes of Riace.
